Final Day of Shoes

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

Sadly, this is the last day of shoe week.  However, I have a magnificent shoe to leave you with:

image

This is the Lady Page shoe from Christian Louboutin.  I love everything about this shoe, from the color, to the impossibly high heel (5 inches!), to the detail in the front.  It’s simply elegant.

I can’t give you shopping info, because I know this shoe is way out of my price range, and I wouldn’t even know where to go to buy them.  The Louboutin website is pretty cool, so I’d give it a look.

So ends the first week of NaBloPoMo.  I really enjoyed this week, and I’m thinking of making a weekly shoe feature here.  Since the point of this exercise is to learn about blogging, I can say that one thing  I learned is that I should have a set time to write every day.  I know, I know, that is common sense, right?  But I almost forgot to post a shoe on a couple of days.  Now I just have to figure out what my optimal writing time is.  I start my new job on Monday, so it’ll definitely be in the afternoon/evenings.

I’ll announce next week’s theme tomorrow, with it’s first post.  I hope it’s as fun as this week!

peace!

Whimsical, yet Tough Shoe

Friday, November 6th, 2009

This is definitely a shoe you’d wear to get noticed:

It’s the Rock Away shoe from Ed Hardy (clicky click for shoppy shop).  The print is outrageously awesome.  Not the shoe to wear to a job interview, for sure.

Sparkly Shoe Time

Now for a shoe I may actually wear right now!

It’s the Glee shoe from Chinese Laundry.  Bright, shiny, sparkly, and it looks comfy too.  Great for work, if I do say so myself.

Shoe Spectacular Day 4

Aren’t these adorable?!

image

These are Madden Girl Setra Faux Suede T-Strap Platforms.  I think the ruffle detail is cute as anything, and the thick heel and platform part of the shoe makes me think they may be rather comfortable as far as heels go.  These would be great for a night out dancing.

Shoe Day #3

Another purple shoe!

It’s the Ground Breaking Heel from Chinese Laundry (as always, click the shoe for shopping info).  I like that this shoe has a lower heel, making it perfect to go to class or to work and be comfortable at the same time.

Shoe #2

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I’m having so much fun ‘window shopping’ for shoes this week.

Next:

This is the Nanette Lepore Sweetheart shoe (click the pic for shopping info).  I adore this color!  This is my dream shoe to wear with a slinky black dress on a date, perhaps to a fancy ball.  It’ll be a dream for a while, this shoe is a quite a bit out of my budget.

It’s NaBloPoMo!

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Every day this month, I’m going to write a blog post.  This may seem simple, but I’ve had problems posting even once per month at times.  :)

To make this easier and a bit more fun, every week there’s going to be a different theme.  This week’s theme is a little frivolous:  it’s Shoe Week!

Now I don’t wear fancy shoes all that often, more like never, but I looove looking at them.

First up:

The Ariel shoe from BCBGeneration (click the shoe for shopping information).  I love purple, I love peep-toe heels, and the splashes are just enough of a subtle detail to not be overpowering.  I’d wear these with jeans or maybe a simple but flirty skirt.

Come back tomorrow for another fantastic shoe post.

This is going to be fun!
